Czeslaw Milosz Is Dead

Poet and Nobel laureate whose works were censored by Poland’s communist regime, he was also the author of The Captive Mind, a study of intellectuals under communist rule. In the book, Milosz documented how once great writers, comtemporaries of his in Poland, found themselves, to their own horror, instruments of communist propoganda.
